Illegitimate requests for remote access

There has been a recent spate of incidents both at schools and home where someone claiming to be a 'Windows expert/consultant' calls to inform you that your version of Windows is experiencing issues or needs updating. The person then attempts to get you to log onto a website to resolve the issue. This is a scam and you should just end the call immediately. ICT services only ever use our standard remote support tools, dameware and netop, which require your permission so any deviation from this is not legitimate.
