SIMS Discover Autumn 2011 v7.142 Upgrade Guide

If you are currently using the SIMS Discover product there is an upgrade now available. You must be on the main SIMS Autumn release v7.142 before running this upgrade.

The SIMS Discover upgrade follows much the same path as the original installation...

So, step by step, here are the instructions (and we'll assume you're doing this on the SIMS server):

1) Download the SIMS Discover v7.142 install files from

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/221179/discover.zip

2) Extract the zip

4) Start the Discover server upgrade. Run  \discover\index.hta and choose the 'Install Discover' option.

5) Run through the wizard choosing the 'Upgrade Installation'

6) The wizard should show pre-populated screens with your SQL and Discover database details as you go..

Get to the last 'verification' page and choose Install to complete the Discover server upgrade. 

That's the Discover Server upgraded, now onto the clients:

12) Run  \discover\index.hta and choose the Install Discover Client option.

13) Click Next and Upgrade

That's it! Just complete the above steps for each client and you're good to go.
