SIMS Learning Gateway (SLG) Sharepoint Web Parts

Summary

·         SIMS Learning Gateway provides secure on-line access to some of your school’s information anytime, anywhere to teaching staff, parents and pupils.

·         Sharepoint Web parts display attendance, assessment and achievement/behaviour

·         SLG Sharepoint Web Parts half day course is designed to help school administrators and technicians gain an understanding of how SLG  Web Parts can be amended to show the data the school wishes to be viewed by parents, teachers and students

Pre-requisites

Delegates must have a day to day knowledge of SIMS.net and have attended the SIMS Learning Gateway Data Preparation half day course.

Course Objectives

·         Delegates will be shown how to control Sharepoint web parts to enable what can be viewed in each of the web parts, from pupil data to attendance, assessment, behaviour & achievement.

·         Publishing pupil reports so that they can be viewed via SLG

·         Adding and deleting users and managing passwords

·         Making changes to the parent, teacher and pupil sites to show themes, graphics and site icons

·         Managing themes across all the sites.
