SIMS Learning Gateway Update April 2010

As part of the meeting on 14th April the powerpoint presentation along with some associated documents were asked for by the secondary schools present. Here they are for everyone to have a look at, whether pilot school, secondary school or not.

Ben Jones, Capita technical consultant, first started with a powerpoint presentation on various elements of the SIMS Learning Gateway (SLG)

Why use SLG

The most important part of the day, at this point, was to talk about the data checking processes that will need to be completed before deploying the SLG. Any school, even primaries, who find themselves reading this would do themselves a great service by taking on board what the document suggests (everyone will have access to the LA SLG solution over the next couple of years (might as well get everything straight beforehand).
