SOLUS3 SIMS Upgrade Service

The version of software that Capita uses to upgrade SIMS has been updated. The new version is called Solus3 and will be needed on all School platforms for the Summer release of SIMS (due in early July) and also for the roll-out of SIMS Discover.

We are currently working with a couple of secondary schools to get Solus3 up and running and will use the evidence from that to roll out SOLUS3 as follows:

Secondaries

We plan to get SOLUS3 installed on all Secondary platforms by the end of June 2011. We will install the SOLUS3 deployment service on your SIMS servers and configure as much as we can for you. We will leave you to configure your own environment i.e. which workstations use SIMS, Discover, FMS etc.. and will be in contact with each school as we run through the process. We will also be sending out the admin documentation after we contact each school. The roll-out should start w/c 20-06-2011

Primaries

As Primary schools do not need the Summer release until September we will be carrying out the Solus3 installations during the summer break and into the early part of the Autumn term. More details will follow towards the end of this term but we're planning to carry out all the installation and environment set up work for you.
