Fronter VLE Update 17-09-09

Good morning all,

Yesterday ICT services ran a full export of SIMS data from all schools to the Fronter platform. Overnight the integration scripts that import the SIMS data into your buildings was run.

We've checked a number of schools this morning and this years data now looks to be in place.

However, there is an issue with last years SIMS groups still appearing in your Fronter building alongside this years data. This will not stop you getting started with working with your new rooms and members and please be assured that we have escalated this with Fronter to get these old groups removed as soon as possible.

Also, if you did not archive last years rooms as part of the end of year guidance you will see duplicate rooms in your room dropdown lists. Guidance to remove these rooms and copy or delete resources from last year will be sent out towards the end of next week.

If you did archive your data as part of the end of year guidance you will now be able to get started on this years building.

Once again, in addition to the letter from the LA that appeared in the Fronter admin forum, please accept our apologies for the problems the Fronter platform has experienced over the last two weeks.
