How to apply a SIMS patch

Extract the contents of the patch into their own folder. You should end up with a folder that contains a sql file and a signature file.

On the SIMS server – click start.. programs.. sims applications.. dbupgrade (it’s also in G:\SIMSSQL2008\MSSQL10.SIMS2008\MSSQL\Binn)

Select the ‘Run all SIMS upgrades in following directory’ and navigate to your patch folder

Fill in the fields

Server: i.e. adminapps01\SIMS2008
Database: sims
Your usual sims username and password
.. and click Install

It will do a backup of your data and then apply the patch
